1. Introduction
Welcome to Invoice & Expense Tracker (“App”), developed by Masroor Alam (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Invoice & Expense Tracker is an offline-first business utility designed to help individuals, freelancers, shop owners, retailers, contractors, and small businesses manage invoices, sales, expenses, payments, outstanding balances, and other bookkeeping records.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and business information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used and stored, when information may be shared, and what choices you have regarding your data.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Handle
Depending on the features you use, the App may process the following information:
A. Profile Information
When you create your local profile, you may provide:
- Your name.
- Your mobile phone number.
- A four-digit or other supported personal identification number (PIN) used to access the App.
Your mobile number is used for profile identification and relevant app functionality. It is not represented as phone-number verification unless a separate verification feature is actually provided.
B. Business and Financial Records
You may enter information such as:
- Customer or supplier names and contact details.
- Invoice details, sales, purchases, and expenses.
- Amounts received, amounts paid, outstanding balances, and payment records.
- Business notes, descriptions, dates, and transaction histories.
- Other information you choose to enter into the App.
These records are provided by you. Please avoid entering information that is unnecessary for your bookkeeping purposes.
C. Device and App Information
The App and its underlying Android components may process limited technical information needed for app functionality, security, troubleshooting, and performance.
Google Play Billing and other third-party components, if present in the installed version, may process information according to their own functions and privacy policies. Refer to Section 7 for further details.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Information handled by the App is used for purposes such as:
- Creating and managing your local profile.
- Providing access to the App through its PIN feature.
- Creating and managing invoices, sales, expenses, and payment records.
- Calculating totals, outstanding amounts, and transaction summaries.
- Generating or sharing invoices, reports, and PDF documents when you request these actions.
- Enabling supported customer communication features.
- Processing a lifetime purchase and checking its entitlement, where applicable.
- Maintaining app functionality, protecting information, and addressing technical problems.
We do not use your bookkeeping records for purposes unrelated to the App’s functionality, except where required or permitted by applicable law.
4. Offline Storage and Data Transmission
Invoice & Expense Tracker is designed as an offline-first application.
Profile information and bookkeeping records are intended to be stored locally on your device, using the App’s local storage facilities. The App does not require you to create an online account or register through an OTP-based verification process to use its offline bookkeeping features.
The Developer does not operate a cloud bookkeeping service for these local records. Accordingly, the App does not intentionally upload locally stored bookkeeping records to a Developer-operated server as part of its ordinary offline functionality.
However, certain actions you initiate, such as sharing a PDF, sending information through WhatsApp or another communication application, or making a purchase through Google Play, may involve other services. Their processing is governed by their respective policies.
Internet access or third-party SDK activity, if present in a particular version, may involve technical data transmission. This policy does not mean that every component of the Android device or every third-party service operates offline.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or bookkeeping records.
The App is designed to keep locally stored business records on your device rather than share them with the Developer.
Information may be processed or disclosed in the following circumstances:
Services you choose to use: If you choose to share an invoice, PDF, transaction detail, or contact information through WhatsApp, email, or another application, the information you select may be transmitted to that service and its intended recipient.
Google Play Billing: If you purchase the App’s lifetime premium entitlement, Google Play may process purchase-related information, transaction identifiers, and purchase status to complete and validate the transaction.
Legal obligations: Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or a lawful request from a competent authority.
Security and protection: Limited information may be processed when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate suspected abuse, or enforce applicable legal rights.
We do not authorize third parties to use your locally stored bookkeeping records for their own unrelated purposes.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your locally stored profile and bookkeeping records are retained on your device until they are deleted through available App or device controls, or otherwise removed by the operating system or device owner.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of important business records.
To delete locally stored information, use the App’s available data-deletion or reset feature, if provided. If no such feature is available, you may be able to clear the App’s storage through Android Settings under Apps and Storage. Clearing storage or uninstalling the App may permanently remove local records.
Before clearing storage or uninstalling the App, export or save any records you need to retain.
Information that you independently share with another service may remain subject to that service’s retention and deletion practices. Google Play may also retain purchase records as required for transaction processing, security, legal compliance, or its own policies.
Because the App is designed for offline use and does not maintain a Developer-operated cloud bookkeeping account, the Developer generally does not hold a separate server-side copy of your local bookkeeping records to delete.
7. Google Play Billing and Third-Party Services
The App may offer a one-time lifetime premium purchase through Google Play Billing.
When you make a purchase, Google processes the transaction under its own terms and privacy policy. The App may receive purchase-status information needed to verify whether the premium entitlement is active.
The Developer does not receive your full payment-card details merely because you make a Google Play purchase.
If you use WhatsApp, a phone or messaging application, an email application, a PDF viewer, or another external service through an App feature, that service may process information you choose to share with it.
The availability and behavior of third-party services depend on the version of the App installed and the services you choose to use. Please review the relevant provider’s privacy policy before sharing personal or business information with it.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps through the App’s intended design to help protect information stored on your device.
The App may provide a PIN-based access lock. A PIN helps restrict casual access, but it should not be treated as a guarantee of encryption or complete protection against unauthorized access.
Your security also depends on your device’s screen lock, operating-system security, physical access controls, and the way you store or share your information.
You should choose a PIN that is not easy to guess, keep your device updated, and avoid sharing your PIN with others.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
Invoice & Expense Tracker is a general-purpose business and bookkeeping utility and is not specifically designed for children.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children for purposes unrelated to the App’s intended functionality. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us using the details in Section 13 so that the concern can be reviewed.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or otherwise exercise control over your personal information.
Since ordinary bookkeeping records are designed to remain on your device, you can manage or delete those records using the available App or Android device controls.
For privacy-related questions or requests concerning information handled by the Developer, contact us using the contact details below.
If information is held by Google Play or another third-party service, you may need to contact that service directly to exercise rights relating to its records.
11. Backups and Sharing
If you create a PDF, export a record, or share information with another application, a copy may be saved or transmitted outside the App.
The handling of exported files depends on where you save them and which applications or services you use.
If Android device backup or another backup service is enabled and supports the App’s data, information may be handled according to the relevant operating-system or backup-service settings. Do not assume that uninstalling the App deletes copies that you previously exported, shared, or backed up.
Keep backups of important invoices and business records in a location you control.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, data practices, legal requirements, or third-party integrations change.
The revised version will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through appropriate channels where required by law.
You should review this page periodically to remain informed about our privacy practices.
